Uralkali to Upgrade Public Transport in Berezniki

Uralkali (a part of Uralchem Group), one of the world’s leading producers of potash, signed an agreement with the Government of the Perm Region to update the fleet of public transport vehicles in Berezniki. The signing ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Perm Region Dmitry Makhonin and Uralkali’s CEO Vitaly Lauk.

The agreement aims to increase the quality, accessibility and convenience of public transportation in Berezniki and provides for a renovation of the town’s bus fleet.

The Company will contribute RUB 300 million to the fleet upgrade, while the regional administration will provide necessary assistance to the Company and local authorities to implement the agreement.

Uralkali is a socially responsible business, which supports infrastructure, culture, education and healthcare projects in the areas of its operations. A good example of the company’s social responsibility is the acquisition of public buses and their hand-over to Berezniki.

Development of the towns of our presence is our priority. This cooperation agreement allows us to implement a social project to update and renovate the fleet of public buses, which will improve the quality of life of Berezniki residents.

Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Smoking in mines is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods, crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
No electronic or other devices for the consumption of nicotine-containing products may be carried into or used in the mine.
