Uralkali is one of the leading global producers of potash, which is an essential component for the development of all living organisms.
The Company accounts for a significant share of global potash production and controls its entire supply chain, from potash ore mining to the delivery of potassium chloride to customers.

  • The Company employs about 13,300 people in its main production unit while the Uralkali Group employs more than 21,000 people.

Production

Production
  • The Company’s production facilities (five mines, six potash ore-treatment plants and one carnallite ore-treatment plant) are located in the cities of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia) at the Verkhnekamskoye potassium and magnesium salt field, the world’s second largest deposit in terms of ore reserves.
  • The Company’s production volume in 2021 was 12.3 million tonnes of KCl.

Sales

Sales
  • Uralkali’s sales geography comprises the following key markets: Russia, Brazil, India, China, Southeast Asia and USA.
  • Uralkali sells products in export markets through its own subsidiaries — Uralkali Trading DMCC and United Fertilisers Company Limited.
  • The Company has a representative office in Moscow.
  • The Company owns the Baltic Bulk Terminal (St. Petersburg, Russia) and its own fleet of specialized railcars.
  • In 2021, the Company’s sales totalled 12 million tonnes of KCl.

Financials

  • Uralkali revenue in 2021 was US$ 4,155 million
  • Uralkali net revenue in 2021 was US$ 3,480 million
  • EBITDA in 2021 was US$ 2,556 million

Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Smoking in mines is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods, crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
No electronic or other devices for the consumption of nicotine-containing products may be carried into or used in the mine.
